Dennis Clarke <dclarke@blastwave.org> writes in comp.unix.solaris:
|system SMEvplr SME platform links
|system SMEvplu SME usr/platform links
Those are probably removable if you're not using one of the systems it
provides links for, but removing them won't buy you much.
|system R SUNWbzip The bzip compression utility
If you remove it you may not be able to add any more packages from the
install CD's, since they are compressed with bzip in Solaris 9.
|system SUNWeuhed UTF-8 L10N For CDE Help Developer Environment
|system SUNWi15cs X11 ISO8859-15 Codeset Support
|system SUNWi1cs X11 ISO8859-1 Codeset Support
|system SUNWnamow Northern America OW Support
|system SUNWxwdv X Windows System Window Drivers
|system SUNWxwdvx X Windows System Window Drivers (64-bit)
|system SUNWxwmod X Window System kernel modules
|system SUNWxwmox X Window System kernel modules (64-bit)
Since you said you weren't running X on this system these can probably
go.
| ps: I'll keep telnet around anyways, just in case I ever want/need it.
Even if you want to use ssh for remote logins, the telnet client is
useful for troubleshooting, so you can run 'telnet mailhost 25',
'telnet webserver 80', etc. (Okay, so mconnect works as well for
debugging SMTP, but telnet is far more universally installed.)
