I already got it an tried it. That gave me the messages yu can see near
the end of my original post.
LSI Logic / IntraServer docs say, the driver is for Solaris 2.6 - 8.
They also say, car is compatible with Solaris 9.
So I guessed the special driver ist not needed, because solaris 9
supports this adapters now.
I've also sent a support request to LSI Logic to get this clear.
