Are you trying to use PXE to bootstrap the x86 machine (DCA is loaded
with tftp protocol by the BIOS PXE boot subsystem)? Or are you trying
to boot from floppy/cd/hdd and select the network adapter as boot
device?
A few days ago I had a similar problem with Solaris Express s10_b44,
PXE booting a Toshiba laptop was OK for the DCA phase, but soon after
the kernel was loaded, the x86 laptop hangs (apparently when using
realmode calls into PXE to load the root drivers and configuration
files).
My workaround is to boot the DCA from floppy/cd/hdd, selecting the NIC
in the DCA boot device menu.
