I've killed some hours with the GNOME games - though for some reason
freecell didn't make it into the Solaris GNOME distribution. Those are
definitely not high-action, graphics intensive, fast hand-eye
coordination games - mostly games requiring a bit more thought/strategy.

| Any online role playing games ala star wars galaxy, etc.?

At some level, those seem to be commercialized GUI equivalents of the old
MUDs people were playing using telnet clients over a decade ago - dunno
if any of the MUDs have survived the glitzy competition though.
