Hi,
I'd like to ask you for advice on Sun Directory/Identity software
(iPlanet, Java One, or whatever name is currently appropriate).
I want to deploy Samba in PDC mode with a LDAP backend and I'm
considering using those tools for it (on Solaris 9 platform).
Specifically, the functionality I'm thinking about is storing users'
private ssh keys in LDAP to provide seamless network authentication
between windows ssh clients and unix (linux, solaris) boxes. Some kind
of LAN-wide ssh-agent session.
Samba server would be responsible for network logons and accessing
LDAP-stored data.
Do you think it is possible ?
Does Sun software provide any such functionality ?
Any comments, experiences highly appreciated.
Cheers,
