Hi all,
I am looking for a way to centralize the mess that currently is trying
to keep 15+ Sun servers up to date. I have heard of Patch Manager and
am looking at the docs. for it but am not sure if this will accomplish
what I want, which is:
- the ability to download the patches from Sun
- ability to push out the patches to other systems that do not have
internet access (for good reason)
As it stands now, it is a tedious task of connecting to Sun via. my
pc, down loading the file(s), and pushing the same file to multiple
systems. If I could automate something on a central server to at
least get the patches for me, I can take them from there and decide
how to propogate them.
Does Solaris provide any mechenisms to accomplish this? If not, are
there any good freeware utilites available?
TIA,
