Solaris 9 and Linux on same Hard Disk

How do I install Linux and Solaris on the same HD? When I tried to
install Solaris the installer told me they can't both be on the same
hard disk. I was wondering if marking my Linux partitions as DOS would
trick the installer without any ill consequences. Also, since I'm not
letting the installer automatically take over the entire hard disk, how
should I partition it? The installation program recommended two
partitions, one for the system and a Solaris boot partition also. How
big should each be and is it even necessary to have them both? I
currently have Windows 2000 on the first partition of 20 gigs, Slackware
10 on the second which is 40 gigs, 200 MB partition of swap space and
want to install Solaris 9 on the last 20 gigabytes of my hard drive. I
can't justify buying another 80 gig hard drive for $70 bucks when I can
buy a 160 gig for $75 that my older computer can't use despite updating
my bios.
