Hello all gurus. I'm newbie to the unix and solaris, so excuse me if I
ask some stupid question. We have a SunFire 280R server with two
identical built-in disks. I had to re-install it, but I forgot to
backup some neccessary data - my fault :-(. Before installation there
was configured raid (mirroring) for the disks. Now we are using only
one disk (c1t0d0s0) without the raid configuration, but I need to
extract some data from the old mirror disk (c1t1d0s0). Now I can mount
the /dev/dsk/c1t1d0s2, but it seems to be only / filesystem. It
contains all data from the old disk, but the /usr, /opt, /var
filesystems are empty. When I tried to mount other partition, e.g.
/dev/dsk/c1t1d0s3 (which is the old /usr), I've got the following
error: cannot mount, I/O error, or something like this. Am I doing
something wrong ? How can I mount these partitions ? The partitions on
the disks should be:
c1t1d0s0 / 4096 MB
c1t1d0s1 swap 2048 MB
c1t1d0s2 overlap 34730 MB
c1t1d0s3 /usr 8193 MB
c1t1d0s4 /var 4096 MB
c1t1d0s5 /opt 16284 MB
c1t1d0s7 -- nothing -- 11 MB
many thanks for the help
