SE is _not_ a "completely interrogative" tool - it also has the ability
to modify kernel structures which are normally only accessable via direct
manipulation of the kernel with tools like adb.
Some of the scripts included in the ANC* packages even make use of this -
such as the one(s) which enable priority paging on a machine on the fly.
As far as being supported by Sun, why would it be? It's a 3rd-party tool
written by someone who (to the best of my knowledge) has never work for
Sun.
