You require either a null modem cable or an ordinary PC/Modem cable with a
null modem adapter, available at Radio Shack.

Set your terminal emulator, TeraTerm Pro BTW is much better than
HyperTerminal, to 9600-8N1. Connect the cable between TTY-A on the Sun
and the PC. Power up the SS5 and you should get to an "ok" prompt.

If the SS5 has a CD-ROM drive you can now install Solaris.

If you network the machines and have an X server available on Windows you
can use it to get to a graphical login on the SS5.
