Why don't you just network those machines?
You can run samba on Solaris; indeed samba ships with Solaris. Set up
your /etc/sfw/smb.conf and your shares will appear in Windoze "My Network
Places" just as if the shares existed on a Windoze server.
You may also find that an application and drivers appropriate for your
camera do *not* exist for UNIX while the cam manufacturer kindly ships
those with the device for use under Windoze.
