According to Peter Eriksson <peter@ifm.liu.se>:
:The problem seems to be worse with GNOME as the desktop, but it was also
:there with CDE...
:
:*All* the latest patches installed. Solaris 9.
I'm seeing various strange problems with xinerama on gnome myself.
For instance, PilotManager. Before I started running xinerama,
I could switch metacity workspaces, and PM would continue running.
Some of the windows would appear on the new workspace, which was annoying,
but I could live with it.
However, once xinerama was activated, if I switch away from the workspace
where I started PM, PM just goes into some sort of idle condition. I
get no error. I just see no further data transferred.
