Guru's,
I have a Jumpstart server which I use to install Solaris 9 04/09 on
machines. The Jumpstart works like expected, the target machine is
installed without any problems.
When adding patches through my Jumpstart scripts, errors occur. All
patches fail with error codes 2, 5 and 8. When looking at the patch
log (in /var/sadm/patch/...), it says:
--- This appears to be an attempt to install the same architecture and version of a package which is already installed. This installation will attempt to overwrite this package. pkgadd: ERROR: exec of /sbin/sh failed, errno=13 pkgadd: ERROR: checkinstall script did not complete successfully Dryrun complete. No changes were made to the system. --- When I boot the system and apply the patches, the patches are installed without any problem. Patches are installed using the same command line as I use in the Jumpstart script, except for the '-R /a' parameter. The strangest thing: when using Solaris 9 03/12 and the same Jumpstart scripts, the patches are installed in without problems... Does anyone knows what's going on here? Best regards, Remy Zandwijk
