Hello,
I would like to ask for any help related
to Latvian font problem in Solaris 9.
Most WEB pages uses Baltic (Windows 1257) charset and
Mozilla or Firefox shows Latvian letters
on Linux XFree86 4.x based X-server (192.168.1.1), i.e.
command
export DISPLAY="192.168.1.1:0.0";firefox
from 192.168.1.6 (Solaris 9) works just fine. However,
Latvian characters does not exist on native Solaris X-server.
Is it possible to fix native Solaris font system in order
to get my charset?
I tried to install font server on Linux side + checked it
from an other Linux box (by replacing
font paths to my server in XFree86 config file).
Everething seems to be OK for 2 Linux boxes.
However, the command
xset +fp tcp/192.168.1.1
in Solaris xterm (Solaris X server)
gave no success...
May be I have to find a configuration
script for Solaris Xserver in order to replace native font
support to my Linux font server at boot?
Thank you very much for your answers!
Happy New Year to all!
/Normunds
