As I mentioned recently over on the Yahoo Solaris list, I
discovered a better way to help people "monitor" a group or list
they don't subscribe to but still want to follow.
As I've been doing for the last few months, I'm about to post a
list of recent thread subjects from the Yahoo Solaris list. The
difference is, I've fixed up the script so that instead of just
listing topic titles, it also includes a URL that points to a
thread-view for that particular Q&A or discussion (on gmane.org).
Here's an example:
Subject: JDS vs Janus
<URL:http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.os.solaris.solarisx86/2784>
In other words, when you spot (or search for) an item - perhaps a
query - in the list that interests you, click the link and you'll
be taken to the a thread-view of that Q&A or discussion.
