I would have to agree with Rich, If you are asking these questions you are
not ready to administer a stand-alone system, let alone a cluster.

There are MANY aspects to consider in remote administration of UNIX
systems and it would take more space than a post allows to list them all
in detail.

My recomendation would be to pass on this one and take on a smaller
project first, with a non-production system so you can work through the
details and figure out what is/will be needed.

Also, because each company is different, systems are setup differently,
etc. It would be difficult for anyone to propose a "solid" solution for
you.
