Make sure you have the latest versions of BOTH the XVR-100 and Xsun
patches. We had a similar problem with a 280R with an XVR-100 with
Solaris 8. Just the Xsun patch did not fix the problem for us.
If you are running Solaris 8, the latest XVR-100 patch is 114537-28
as far as I know. See the readme for the patch for bug such as:
4910095 XVR-100 uses 100% cpu ...
