I normally don't repply to such obvious trolling, but there is some of
this that I can't let pass without comment.
Apologies to both the cola and cus communities for potentially feeding
the troll.
Comments inline.
[Mikes ran't about Sun marketing screwing up by not releasing the media
for Solaris 10]
Mike, which would you prefer? Release the O/S on the website as soon as
it is ready and get to work producing the media for availability early
March; or hold the whole thing back until the media is ready?
I know which I prefer.
Just because *you* don't wish to do the download does not mean that
nobody else does (note the more than half a million downloads in the
first three weeks!). If you want to wait for media, that is your
perogative. It seems to me that you were under the misapprehension that
we will not be delivering media. Please consider that misapprehension
corrected. Media will be available early March.

Ummm, it *is* later. This is, of course your bosses perogative. I would
regard it as a little short-sighted.

Ummm I suspect you haven't read CDDL very well. There is nothing
stopping anyone taking a standalone command and making it available
under another system; be it proprietry, GPL or pretty much anything.

If?
If we didn't we would have a lot of *very* upset customers.

Maybe because we are spending the money on the engineering work to get
it out?
alan.
