I doubt it.
Most of the BSDs have abandoned unionfs as too buggy to bother fixing at
this point... Theo deRaadt, lead developer on OpenBSD, claimed that
they'd been working on unionfs for a few years without nailing down
bugs, so they were giving up. FreeBSD is forthright in the man page
that it should not be used, and Google suggests that NetBSD isn't faring
any better.
That seems like a great big "stay away" sign to me.
