Hi,
I'm in charge of a e-governance lab in India.
We have recently acquired Acer Altos G710 servers.
http://www.acer.co.in/products/servers/aag710.html
The lab is switching over to RHEL completely.
I would like to have Solaris 10 (x86) as a development and staging
server.
I have downloaded the latest solaris CD's (03/05). According to this
page, the on-board raid chip (LSI MegaRaid 320) is supported.
http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl/data/sol/components/details/887.html
But during installation, after it asks for m/c name and root password
and all that, when it reads the first CD (goes to abt 50% or so), at
that moment, it says no disks found.
I'm unable to determine why this is doing so. I've tried to remove the
RAID array and tried usng the regular LSI 1020/1030 SCSI driver. But,
still it is giving the same error.
Can anyone help me?
I would really like to have some solaris presence in the lab otherwise
it would completely switch over to RHEL.
Regards,
Prashant
