First let me say that I too, am a Christian and have known the Lord for
about 27 years. I will say that I concur with the content of your note
here. But I am afraid I cannot agree with you using a technical forum
to post this message. It is my opinion that this newsgroup should be
reserved for technical issues only. I do not want to condemn
evangelism. It has its place, at the the right time, and under the
right set of circumstances, because there is value of a "timely word".
This is a technical newgroup, designed and provided for the exchange
of technical information. If someone approached you directly wanting
to know how to be saved then, yes, by all means send him or her
information offline, outside the doors of the newsgroup here. As a
frequent user of this forum I would request that you submit technical
questions only in the newsgroup here. Doing this will win you the
respect of your peer developers in this newsgroup. (To the newsgroup
administrators, it is not my intention to speak out of tunr here.)
