Really not worth it, if the system is that critical it will be easily
and probably more cost effective in the long run to deploy a staging
server to be used as a test bed. Sun's backout procedues with patches
is pretty straight forward, I have yet to see a system patch blow up a
system to the point where it was un recoverable.

The time it would take to split your mirror reattach and resync, would
still be longer than the time it would take to run a patchrm <foo> and
fix you system :)
Or worse case restore from backups.
