I'm not calling you a liar. If you got that impression, I apologise.
The situation here is that Sun have posted an announcement that
anonymous FTP and then broke free access. Don't you see how that could
lead to some confusion? I read the documentation before I posted, and
it was short on relevant facts.

Yes, it's a hint. It's not a clear statement. I am not interested
in guesses or inferences; I want to know what the policy is, for sure.
You were simply providing guesses, backed up by reading between the
lines. Casper has provided some solid information, so I'm happy now.
