I had to bite the bullet and get jumpstart working on x86. I'm having
trouble getting past the DHCP part though. Here is my information.
- First, the jumpstart, boot, install, config, and DHCP server are all
the same (192.168.1.100 == jmpsrv1). It is an x86 server.
- The client Im trying to boot is connected !!directly!! to the server
via a
back-to-back cross-over ethernet cable. The IP address the client
is supposed to get is 192.168.1.32 (see diag info below).
- Im using the latest version of Solaris 10 (patched).
The problem is that, while the DHCP server sees the request (see
below),
it is not responding. The output (in debug mode) just repeats
"437a4775: Datagram received on network device: iprb0(limited
broadcast)"
Here is my diagnostic information. Am I missing something, or is
something
incorrectly configured:
