Again you are lost in the details.
Nobody claimed Sun has the absolute "lowest cost server" over Dell.
However, listen closely because this is what matters, Sun provides MUCH
more server for your dollar. Value vs. absolute cost - a very big
difference.
Dell attracts customers with a very low advertised price and charges
plenty to outfit to a usable state. Additionally, Dell's cheapest
"servers" you are referring to are made from econo-desktop parts - with
Sun you get real server grade components.
