Some of the stuff you're saying there is ringing bells. I remember him
telling me about the Star and the Alto.
Essentally - what he's done, is bought a load of hardware (I think he's
got 2 SPARC Classics and an IPX - at least, that's the names *he* used)
- and he wants to run GlobalView on it... Unfortunately, I'm too new
to all this to have absobed everything that he told me. I know he
mentioned one other thing that he had/was going to run - and that he
implied that it had something to do with GlobalView.
Unfortunately, he wants to run the same version as he used to use (for
the authentic experience ;-) ) and in our office, we believe in buying
the old hardware and getting the original versions - that's half the
fun of the challenge! I guess we're a bit weird like that. :-) He's
trying to get it all running as he used to do then, not on up-to-date
hardware or OSs.
I'm having a browse though those links - I think I could get into all
this y'know :-)
