I really wonder why such a large company as Sun has released so BAD

First installation I gave Swedish keyboard to installation and after
that keys went hay-way.
True , The S10 x86 3/05 general release had this problem.
Bug ID: 6227475
Solved with patch: 118966-09
Obviously no one ever tried if Solaris works with that...
No they didn't
I was one of the first reporters of this bug one year ago.
I recommend that you download and install Solaris 10 update 1
where this bug has been fix in the release CD/DVD.
Next installation went otherwise fine (with US keyb), but I skipped
root password, since I dont have any secrets on my HD, but then I got
this login page, which asked login name and password. I haven't given
any, so I tried empty ones and then other random ones -no luck.
I just want to use my PC for work, not playing with stupid OS'ses.
Unix is different from M$ windows in its password requierments,
usually if you could press just [ENTER] inthe password field during
installtion, and that would give a blank password. but if you didnt
enter anything ... I have never tried tthat :-)
The root user is the system administrator, the root user Does Need a
password for the system to have any security at all.
Is there any way to try this fu**** thing does it really work?
I'd LOVE to get rid of smell of Microsoft, but someone has to listen to
99.999% of customers to design one, which WORKS.
Its unfortunate that you ran into these problems, One of which has
been know
for 12 months.
Download Solaris 10 Update 1 instead and do give root a password.
I have been using Unix system V relase 4 for 17 years now, and
solaris
for 9 years, and it is my primary desktop environment.
