Would that be this line?
"/pci@0,0/pci10de,5c@9/pci1000,30@8" 0 "mpt"
I believe so (I don't know what the sata controllers show up as).
This node has no children, like:
X4200 SAS w/ two disks
"/pci@0,0/pci1022,7450@2/pci1000,3060@3" 0 "mpt"
"/pci@0,0/pci1022,7450@2/pci1000,3060@3/sd@0,0" 3 "sd"
"/pci@0,0/pci1022,7450@2/pci1000,3060@3/sd@1,0" 4 "sd"
The same interface you have with a tape drive:
"/pci@1,0/pci1022,7450@2/pci1000,5110@1" 1 "mpt"
"/pci@1,0/pci1022,7450@2/pci1000,5110@1/st@5,0" 5 "st"
There's nothing else on the interface?
No, only the tape drive.
Did you use the appropriate type of terminator (it's an LVD/SE
and so you need the appropriate type of terminator)
The terminator came of a HP DLT80 that was woring on an Adaptec
29160, which I beleive is also LVD/SE, isn't it. And the tape drive
is an HP Model Q1539B.
Does the tape drive show up in the BIOS when the SCSI BIOS runs?
I have not figure out how to get in the setup BIOS for this card,
I don't see anyhting at boot time, like teh "Hit CTRL A" to enter BIOS
setup that I'm used to seeing from Adaptec controlers.
Can you give me some guidance as to how to get there?
