flarcreate: File / registred cannot be excluded

Hello,
Trying to create a flash from the contents of a subdirectory, so as to
specify an additional flash when installing.
Have created a flash to install from - no problemo - no want to add
some extra stuff in a modular fashion.
This is 09/05 Solaris 9 with last weeks recommended patch set BTW..
So tried to create a flash from a selection of files in /export/home
no joy however <sigh>
Perhaps it is not possible?
Any hints welcome!
