Hi,
just migrated my workstation at work to S10 06/06 with ZFS. But two things
annoy me:
1. I have to use "zfs set mountpoint=legacy XXX" and mount the zfs
filesystems the traditional way via /etc/vfstab.
Otherwise networker won't backup zfs filesystems automatically
(save set = All).
That's right. Networker parses /etc/vfstab to find what filesystems it
should back up. Presumably they'll release an update in the future to
handle ZFS a bit better.
a. when will Networker be aware of ZFS mounts and backup automatically
accordingly?
b. when will Networker be able to backup/restore the new ACLs of ZFS?
You should contact them (EMC) to see what their plans are.
Sun thought it should be about now, but I haven't kept up with the
features of 6.0.
