Actually, after installing "old" ldap server on Sol10, I did exactly this
The ldap libraries have their versions bumped for a reason; you would need
to copy old libldap.so.3 from an S8 system./
(at the time I was trying this, I had some other problem regarding
compatibility so I was not sure it this was ok).
But, I was thinking if better aproach would be to install newer ldap server
on Sol10. Assuming that from "outside" application standpoint, ldap behaves
same (same interfaces, same cli), that could also work.
Is DS bundled with Solaris 10 ? (if I remember correctly, with Sol9, ldap
was bundled together with base os).
