Re: Jumpstart x86 - not accepting -B insall_media=<NFS MOUNT>

I am embarrassed to say that I forgot to change the eventhook script to
755. Problem resolved. Now to clean up my sysidcfg and write a
summary to this thread.

You still had the evenhook hack in the miniroot?

I have tried it with and without the eventhook script. No change.

It is still required, I think, for the yukonx0 devices.

Does it send a reject message or does it not send any answer?

I did not see a reject message. Going to look again. Any interest in
the snoop ouput?

The evenhook script I posted printed message to the console;
can you uncomment:

#echo Interface "$intf" being DHCP "$event"ed. >> /dev/msglog &

and does that show up during the install?

The /etc/dhcp/eventhook file is mode 755?

You mean when not using Jumpstart the work around is running snoop? I
am going to test on a system that I have installed after manually
configuring the network information. The good news is that my rules
and profile are working! =)

Normal DHCP boot works, it's just the install which fails as it
dhcps twice; before I thought of the eventhook workaround (thanks
for forcing me to think of something "turn-key") I jumpstarted
the affected system in a graphics environment and ran snoop in a terminal
to make the install continue.
