Yes, but you need an X-Windows server for your PC. putty supports
X-Windows display forwarding.
Sorry, but Windows (with an "s" at the end is that piece of software
coming from Redmond). What you mean is the "X Window System". ;-)
But apart from that, you're totally right:
The X Server on the Windows Client will then be used to display X
Client (=GUI applications) running on the Solaris machine while SSH is
used for tunneling the X11 protocol between these two hosts.
