admins,
I have a Sol 10 box and I have some issues with tape drive performance.
The tapes are IBM LTO3 Ultrium. It's hanging off a QLC 2460 card.
The redbook from IBM says I have to install ibm drivers and configure
through /kernel/drv/IBMtape.conf
Can I ignore this and go straight to configuring /kernel/drv/st.conf?
tape-config-list=
"IBM ULTRIUM-TD3","IBM Ultrium Gen 3 LTO","CFGIBMULTRIUMGEN3LTO";
CFGIBMULTRIUMGEN3LTO = 1,0x3b,0,0x45863d,3,0x40,0x42,0x44,2;
that's what I have for the options. I've tried a few variations w/o
luck. The drives are off a brocade switch
dd from disk to tape is blazingly fast
the problem is dd from tape to tape
