Nonsense. It is only under very rare circumstances that the kernel
will kill a process (only when it tries to grow its stack when there's
no VM left). The Solaris kernel doesn't kill processes just becuase
the load is high.
Under Solaris 8 I have seen processes killed when disks are 100%
full...
System processes like cron. Total disarray. But the OPs problem is
something else. But probably related to incompetent administration
