I downloaded Apache 2.0.54 and it configured and compiles clean. I
then did a grep for "LARGE64" on the 2.2.3 and found
/srclib/apr/configure script has an option --disable-lfs. I ran
configure with that option and it works!!
Back to Veritas again then..? I doubt there are any such issues
on ufs. I didnt encounter any. I could try zfs and qfs as well with the
same results I suspect. I dont think its an issue with a V440 and lack
of patches
but Ive been wrong about that once already this week : /
I don't have support for Veritas so there is no chance for a patch and
I will tell you 100% veritas patches have knocked me down in the past
using Informix and I won't go there again. Solaris patches have also
screwed me once rendering a 2.6 server bootless. Everyone always says
patch and for the times I have patched they never fixed the issue, all
they did was cause new issues. Consultants love patches - more revenue
for them.
