This is sad, because I really like Solaris. I'm long time familiar with
unix-like and unix systems (Linux from 2.0 kernels, FreeBSD from 4.4 and
Solaris from version 8), and usually I can fix my problems in 98%
situations myself without crying on usenet for help. I can tolerate
occasional bad package dependencies, I can accept that on Solaris one
must compile bunch of handy userspace programs which are packaged by
default on RH Linux etc etc ... but number of bad patches and
non-trivial problems in last few months on Solaris 10 is really
"enterprise" in all derogatory meaning of this IT term.

A sure way to get Solaris down is uadmin 2 0
Have a look in /usr/include/sys/uadmin.h for details
