sccli: start adding disks: ld1
How much time does it for the 3310 to finish the restriping ??
Each physical disk is IIRC 140GB ( it shows up as 136.73GB ) in the "show
disks" command via sscli.
I cannot get access to the serial console of the 3310 nor via the firmware
via telnet, so I cannot see the progress in percentage that would have
been shown at the top of the menu.
Thx in adv
The restriping finished. I actually have 2 Storedge 3310 SCSI arrays, and
the arrays are mirrored between each other via SVM mirroring ( Thus, RAID 0
harware + RAID 1 software ). They have identical setups ( same number of
disks, same number of logical drives, same # of disks within a logical
drives, same physical disk sizes, etc.. ) I added one disk on both arrays.
What I found strange was that, even though the restriping started about at
the same time, with one started a few minutes after the other, the second
array that started a few minutes after the first array finished restriping
after 11.5 hours ... while the other array that started restriping first
finished restriping after 17.5 hours.
Why would there be such a big difference in time to restripe ?
