Is it possible to deactivate the beep/bell in text console [not in X]
in Solaris 10? I am going crazy with the beep!

I often had this request, and it turned out everytime the issue was
coming from users not familiar enough with the vi editor and
unecessarily pressing the escape key when already in command mode ...

All very well. I am not a beginner in vi. I used vim before to know
one more powerful editor: emacs. I has installed it and I am very
happy with it.

The problem isn't the editor usage. If you read the title, I would
like to disable that beep not a opinion like that: "you are a
beginner, you must learn it bla bla bla". The problem is with my
layout keyboard: there isn't a brazilian keyboard layout on Solaris,
unfortunately.

I has removed the "buzzer" (I hope that is the correct translation)
from CPU. I could not to deactivate from software. Time will bring it
to light.

Thanks you,
