Re: Latest Solaris 9 recommended patches broke sendmail

I recently installed the latest Solaris 9 Recommended patches (Sparc arch). Now, I can't get any locally generated email out of the local machine. I get an error which says the localhost [127.0.0.1] rejected the relay. I have a /var/spool/clientmqueue full of mail. Running sendmail with the -d switch hasn't shown much, and sendmail -qf hasn't helped either. Any ideas?

Kevin

If this is a mail server, the following is off base.

Is there a /etc/mail/submit.cf.old ?
diff /etc/mail/submit.cf.old /etc/mail/submit.cf might be the answer.

I have a subnet that just runs the sendmail client with
D{MTAHost}[mailserver IP] in /etc/mail/submit.cf

The patch has D{MTAHost}[127.0.0.1]

Thanks for the reminder.
