What do you mean "almost everything" ?
My keyboard is brazilian portuguese but I am using a english layout.
So it will generate some wrong letters when I type some keys like ç
^ ; . That causes beeps on console or vi because that.
I can neither:
- set up the correct layout
- remove the beep.
Well, it is difficult to use the Solaris console (text mode) on that
conditions.
I am thinking in remove it and come back to FreeBSD. This is a really
suberb operating system.
When Solaris will be a better option in Intel Architecture? Never?
See! I need to find a not built-in package to install a simple text
editor like emacs.
What is your hardware ?
P4, not SPARC.
Are you using an USB keyboard ?
Yes
What is your keyboard setting in eeprom ?
English. That is my better option now.
PS. I am using the X, so I can type correctly.
thanks you,
PH
