Hi,

Something seems to be wrong at the HAL level.

follow this workplan:

Insert the USB stick

# svcadm restart hal
# svcadm restart rmvolmgr

USB stick appears on jds desktop ( for me atleast )

Does for me also from time to time. However I never know when. This
problem has been there with all S10 and S11 betas I've tested (~50 of
them). It's a shame that such a "simple" function can't work. Never
can show how nice Solaris is as I can't really trust "simple" things to
work.

Odd, I haven't seen any problems with them on any of my systems.
Admittedly I'm still on build 57.

But it really doesn't matter. I'm soon so Windozified that I might start
to like when "simple" stuff works (and the real tings is just plain
stupid implemented but the stupidity is well hidden).

If anything, removable media support on recent nv builds is as least as
good as, if not better than on windows.
