Hello,
I want to install in a Sparc 2 3000 Machine a Solaris 8(3/00) this
machine hasnt got CD-ROM unit, but I have another machine, an Ultra
Sparc Sun fire v240 with Solaris 9(9/05) installed and a CD-ROM unit.
How I have to do for installing Solaris 8 in my Sparc 2 3000?
I tried to verify in the original machine #ps -ef|grep vold (its
running)
#ps -ef|grep
nfsd(its running)
And share the slide with the Boot: #share -F nfs -o ro /cdrom/en-sol-
sparc-8/s1
In the goal machine of the installation I created a <directory> where
I mount : #mount -F nfs -r <original machine IP>:/cdrom/en-sol-sparc-8/
s1 /<directory>
I can see the cd-rom in remote view but I dont know how to do.
What is the correct way to proceed?
Thank you very much.
Jose.
