Use US Type 6 USB keyboard in the UK?

I bought a Sun Blade 2000 from the US last week which has a type 6 USB keyboard (3201273-01) - US version. It has a '#' (hash) key above the 3, and no pound sign at all. Being in the UK, this is not too good for me.

Do the keyboards have DIP switches in them, which allow them to generate other characters? My my problem is the pound sign. Others are less of an irritation.

The keys look as though they are probably physically the same as I have on a few spare type 4/5 keyboards, so I'm considering swapping keys, so I have a key with a pound sign on it.

If not, I guess I will have to find a UK dealer with a UK keyboard. Acara sprung to mind, as I owe them a favor from many many years back [1]. Unfortunately, it appears they are no longer in business.

Note
[1] I thought I'd share you the story of why I owe Acara a favor.

I once wanted a cable which fitted in a SPARC 20 to connect the CD to the motherboard so I could get sound. They had the cable, but wanted #10 for the cable and #5 for carriage. The cable seemed a bit expensive. Given it would have fitted in a jiffy bag and cost less than 5% of that for postage, I objected to the postage too.

Tom then pointed out how they used a courier so they knew it would arrive on time. Anyway, he then proposed to send me the cable for free, and pay the carriage. So that is what they done! They sent me the cable for nothing, and paid the next courier cost themselves. I don't recall ever buying anything from them (perhaps I did), so would have got the keyboard from them. But from what I can see, they are no longer in business.

How many dealers would have done that???
