Could it be that the device as a 2048 byte sector size? If you can, try

That is something that i have been thinking about too. NetBSD does
report 512 bytes/sector but, with the "fabricating a geometry"
message in mind, im not sure if i should trust that:

sd2 at scsibus1 target 0 lun 0: <iriver, MP3 T60, 0.83> disk removable
