know why this crash destroys smc, when it's an smc patch?!?!?

P.S.: Same issue, 4 systems: Enterprise 450 Server, Untra-80, 2
Ultra-60s, all different hardware and configs...same release of op sys.
Can you determine if earlier versions of this patch cause a problem?
I see that there is no 121308-14 on sunsolve, which makes me suspect
they've rolled back to the pre-problem one (-12).
