You seem to be on the wrong track, there is no Host support in VMware
for Solaris 10 so what you suggest is not possible.
Maybe you meant Win4Solaris?
No I meant specifically VMWare. Both the VMWare site and Sun both say
that VMWare is certified to act as a host for linux and windows
VMWare does NOT run on solaris.
This statement puzzles me! There is no reason why VMWare should run on Solaris. VMWare is an operating system in its own right. It creates virtual machines on which other operating systems; e.g. Windows, Linux, Solaris/X86 and OS/2 can run.
VMWare is usually used to run multiple instances of Windows. It works quite well if your hardware has the necessary horse power to run VMWare plus two or more other operating systems. I don't know that Solaris can run in a VMWare virtual machine but I know of no reason why it should not.
VMWare for OS X is avalable and they do claim that Solaris 10 will run under it.
