Anyways, the problems I'm seeing now is that MS has a strangle hold on some
websites in regards to playing back either audio or video. Some websites
offer either Windows Media Player or QuickTime, but not Real Player. And this
sort of limits the user or prevents the user from either listening or viewing
their content.
One example is http://www.allenorgan.com
On the Listen Music icon.
I really don't know what solution a Sun user has for this.
Do what I do: complain voiciferously to the sute's owner/management.
And/or deny them any advertising revenue by refusing to visit their
site.
I've already sent them two emails about the use of MS stuff soley.
And they did make a mess out of the QuickTime version as well.
But it seems that an earlier post may have solved this problem.
I've got probably the last question, as I've never seen Sun hardware in action in person...
Just how good are the fonts displayed in JavaDesktop?
I've seen the horrible mess displayed by Vista. After all these years, they've actually taken a step backwards for some reason in regards to fonts... color fringing. And this is on all the hardware I've seen Vista on so far in the stores.
