I am trying to upgrade a Solaris9 installation to Solaris10. I try to
do that using Jumpstart and this finishes with the installer claiming
it did not find any upgradable filesystems. I also tried an interactive
install and wasn't even offered an upgrade. Hardware I am trying this
on is a SunFire V210. Could anybody give me a clue how to upgrade?
If you have a spare slice at least as big as your root or a mirror youHow do I set this up in Jumpstart?
can break, use Live Upgrade.
I have no idea, I've never had reason to mix the two. Just create a new
BE on one half of your mirror ant (d) upgrade it.
Actually its as easy as reading the luupgrade man page and picking the
proper switches then following the instructions...
Part way through right now.
