Hi,
does somebody does liveupgrade regulary and can give some hints about
the disk layouts:
- do you use almost 3 disk?
No. I've got two internal disks, which are setup as a mirror. The
external disks, where the actual data is stored, is using ZFS.
- how is the naming convention on SVM for switching disk back and forth?
"the" naming convention? I doubt that there's just one.
Currently, I like to name my mirror eg. d200 with sub mirrors called
d10 and d20. I call it d200, if the 1st mirror is d20. If it is d10,
I'd call it d100. There's also d201/d101 with d21 and d11. d20 would
be the slice 0 on the 2nd disk; d11 would be slice 1 on 1st disk.
Another not so uncommon naming scheme seems to be d30 with d20+d10.
But that doesn't work so well, when a new BE is created with LU (eg.
when new updates arrive or when the space allocation on the disks
need to be revised). Because of that, I switched from d30 to d100 and
d200.

The nice thing about Windows is - It does not just crash, it displays a
dialog box and lets you press 'OK' first.
